Wendee was born and raised in Wyoming where she participated in swim team and taught swim lessons in high school and college. She discovered occupational therapy later in life and went on to graduate from Pima Medical Institute in 2019. She worked in geriatric rehab for several years before realizing that she would love to be able to see the long term effects of occupational therapy in the lives of her patients, not just the short term gains. She decided to transition to pediatrics during the summer of 2024 and was able to combine that with her love for the water by coming onboard at Theraswim. With her rehabilitation experience she has experience with a variety of medical conditions and diagnoses, and has a passion for the holistic therapy the water brings. She spends her free time camping, hiking, kayaking/paddleboarding, and spending as much time with her two adult children as she can.
