Join us for the 2025 TRI MY BEST  – an inspiring Adaptive Triathlon for Kids, hosted by Friends of TheraSWIM at the Berthoud Recreation Center on September 19, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 PM!

WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a one-of-a-kind race – fully adaptable to each child’s needs so they can participate to their fullest potential. Our expert aquatic therapy team will be there every step of the way, ensuring your child is supported before, during, and after the event. Every athlete will be celebrated with a medal, t-shirt, swag bag, and a certificate of achievement! Plus, after the race, enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities: food trucks, a silent auction, lawn games, face painting, and a lively community resource fair.

RACE DISTANCES FOR ALL LEVELS: We offer multiple distance options, designed to support kids with special needs and serious illnesses:

  • Distance 1: 1 lap swim, 0.5-mile bike (1 lap), 0.15-mile run
  • Distance 2: 2 laps swim, 1-mile bike (2 laps), 0.3-mile run
  • Distance 3: 3 laps swim, 1.5-mile bike (3 laps), 0.5-mile run

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: This incredible event is open to athletes aged 5 and older with a disability. Whether your child has independent mobility or uses assistive devices such as flotation devices, adapted bikes, walkers, or power wheelchairs – we welcome all abilities! Every participant will be paired with a buddy to cheer them on, offer support, and ensure their safety throughout the race.
