Lauren graduated in May 2011 with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University and in August 2013 with her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Colorado State University. Since graduating Lauren has worked in pediatrics and loves the opportunity to see her clients grow and develop. She has experience in outpatient pediatrics, home health, and previously did surf therapy in California. She loves working with children and developing fun and exciting treatment sessions to keep kids engaged, motivated, and excited to come to OT. Lauren’s love for the water began at an early age, as she participated in swim team from 6-18, worked as a lifeguard, taught swim lessons, and coached swim team. She loves how motivating, calming, and dynamic the water is for treatment sessions. In addition to aquatic therapy, Lauren also loves to work with children with sensory and oral-motor based feeding disorders and has completed Introductory Level A in Dynamic Movement Intervention. In her free time, Lauren loves to snowboard, hike, camp, paddle board, watch Gonzaga basketball, and spend time with her husband, her son, and their dog!
