Katie Cover, Swim Instructor

Katie has been immersed in the world of swimming since childhood. She first discovered her passion for helping others in the water when she began volunteering as a young assistant during swim lessons. By the time she reached high school and college, she was teaching lessons herself and developing the encouraging, adaptive style she brings to her work today.

A longtime Northern Colorado local, Katie has been teaching swimming in the area since the early 2000s. She graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in History and a Concentration in Behavioral Science, a background that helps her understand how students learn, build confidence, and grow in new skills.

Outside the pool, Katie also spends time volunteering at a cat rescue. She currently lives in Greeley with her two cats, Ember and Pierce. In her spare time she can frequently be found going to live concerts, hiking, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.
