Dakota received her bachelors in Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin where she gained hands-on experience working with children as a teacher at the Child and Family Lab School. She is currently attending the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at Colorado State University with the goal of working in pediatrics. Dakota’s time at a holistic lab school as well as being a current occupational therapy student gives her a strong foundation of knowledge in child development, play-based learning, and sensory regulation. In her free time she loves playing and learning new sports, being outdoors, and enjoying live music. She is so excited to learn and grow with the swimmers at Theraswim!
