Andrea’s passion for the water began growing up in San Diego, where she started competitive swimming at just 8 years old. She went on to swim Division I at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she earned her degree in Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology in 2014. Andrea continued her education at Colorado State University, earning her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2016. She began her career working with older adults, gaining valuable experience helping clients maintain independence, advocating for their needs and improve their quality of life.
After becoming a mom and navigating medical challenges within her own family, Andrea transitioned into pediatric occupational therapy, where she found a strong passion for working with children and supporting families navigating disability, medical complexities, and developmental challenges. Today, Andrea combines her background as a competitive swimmer, her expertise as an occupational therapist, and her personal experience as a parent to provide compassionate, individualized aquatic therapy. She believes the water can be a powerful environment for children to build strength, confidence, independence, and new skills. Andrea is especially passionate about partnering with families—not only to support their child’s therapy goals, but also to help families feel empowered, connected, and supported as they navigate their unique journey. In her free time, she enjoys camping sns biking with her two children and husband, and snuggling her cat Porter.
