Dr. Susan Hunt graduated from Regis University with her doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009. She has practiced in a variety of pediatric settings, including the school system, early intervention, aquatics, and clinic-based settings. She began practicing aquatic physical therapy specifically in 2011. Susan started TheraSWIM in 2017, when she realized the huge need for pediatric aquatic services in Northern Colorado. She is so proud of how TheraSWIM has grown to meet many needs in the community, including land therapy, aquatic therapy, and adaptive swimming lessons. She has the best job: working with amazing kiddos and their families AND working with the amazing TheraSWIM staff! Susan received her Certificate in the Swim Angelfish Methodology in 2018 and is currently taking coursework to receive her APTA Academy of Aquatic Physical Therapy Clinical Competency Certificate. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Colorado Physical Therapy Association, and the APTA Academies of Aquatic and Pediatric Physical Therapy. She is currently the Secretary for the Academy of Aquatic Physical Therapy. Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 boys, running, hiking, reading, and traveling.
