Dr. Kristen Balk graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2011 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since graduating, she has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings with clients of all ages, but her passion is working with people with neurological disease. Kristen’s longest clinical internships were at a pediatric outpatient clinic, where she also worked with kids in the pool, and at University of Washington in Seattle at their busy Outpatient Neuro clinic. Both cemented for her a passion for helping people with neurological conditions optimize function and live their best lives! Kristen is excited to bring her skills to TheraSwim and get back in the water. She grew up in the pool, swam competitively in high school and also spent several years as a lifeguard. She loves the freedom and fun that the pool brings to a therapy session. Kristen lives in Fort Collins with her husband and four kids, who keep them busy!
