Juliana Meik, Adaptive Swimming Instructor

Juliana Meik is a Water Safety Instructor with many years of swimming lesson instruction experience.  She grew up in Central California and swam on her school’s swim team.  She also began helped her aunt teach swimming lessons for a few weeks every summer when she was a teenager. She then became certified through the American Red Cross Water Safety Class as soon as she was old enough (16 years old), and then started teaching her own swim lessons. Opportunities to teach swim lessons continued to open for her as she attended college in Fresno, California (BA in Liberal Studies, with a Children and Family Emphasis) and while living in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She moved to Colorado in 2007.  She missed teaching her swimming lesson students, and sought out opportunities to be an instructor again.  She was re-certified in Water Safety Instruction in 2011.  She has been teaching swimming skills to students of many ages, skill levels, and special needs since then.  She loves to see the confidence of children rise in their own success.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her close friends and family; summer lake swimming, paddle boarding, yoga, spin classes, walking short trails with sunrise or sunsets & possible water fronts, lap swimming, exploring local restaurants, trying new quick and easy recipes, shopping, and simple crafts. She is excited to get to know each of you and your children a little better.
